Claude Fournier was one of the most famous Saint-Saënnais. He was one of the founding pillars of the newspaper Le Réveil from 1953. And until 1991, he was its editor-in-chief.
Claude joined Le Réveil in December 1952. He was then 23 years old. The newspaper had just been reborn after the war thanks to the Radiguet family. The young Saint-Saënnais arrived at the editorial office with the energy of his youth. His entire career was devoted to local information in the Bray region. He will be of all the fights of the local press in the wake of Pierre and Jean Radiguet, then of Thierry at whose side he will end his career.
After retirement, he launches into the realization of five books of local history in particular on his commune of Saint-Saëns which he cherishes so much.
