Georges Lapie (?-1947), inspector of Water and Forests, published with the academic Albert Maige (1872-1943) this illustrated flora of Algeria. He was for a time a professor at the ENEF. Albert Maige, born on 26 November 1872 in Auxonne and died in Lille on 29 November 1943, was a professor of botany in Algiers, Poitiers and Lille, and Dean of the Lille Faculty of Sciences from 1924 to 1943.
