Edmond Alphandéry
was born in 1870 in the territory of Montfavet and discovered his vocation there: to take care of bees and learn all their secrets. His life as a beekeeper began in 1892, when he set up his workshops, apiaries and honey house in Brignan, which would become the Établissements Alphandéry. It was a difficult start, with the days occupied with work in the apiaries and workshops, while part of the nights were devoted to classifying his observations and researching bees. For this is Edmond's dream: to discover the secrets of bees, to share and communicate to others his passion for these marvellous insects.
