    Pascal Rabaté was born in 1961. In 1989 and 1990, he published his first albums (Exode, Les Amants de Lucie and Vacances, vacances) with Futuropolis. Between 1992 and 1995, he started Les Pieds dedans with Vents d'Ouest. In 1997, he published Un ver dans le fruit, and he teamed up with Zamparutti for an album about the First World War, Ex voto. After reading Alexei Tolstoy's novel Ibicus, he decided to adapt it. This was to be Ibicus, four volumes, totalling some 500 plates, which were published between 1998 and 2001. This adaptation won numerous awards, including the Alph'Art for the best album at Angoulême and the Canal BD prize from the comic book trade. In 2006, he returned to Futuropolis with Les Petits Ruisseaux and wrote La Marie en plastique with David Prudhomme in the drawings, which won an Essentiel at the Angoulême festival. 2007: He won the ACBD Grand Prix de la critique. He directs the film adaptation of Les Petits ruisseaux with Daniel Prévôt in the title role. 2011 : Release of his second feature film Ni à vendre ni à louer, with Jacques Gamblin and Maria de Medeiros. 2013 : Crève Saucisse, with Simon Hureau as the artist, as well as Fenêtres sur rue, a silent book-accordion, published by Noctambules, in the official selection of the Angoulême festival 2014. 2014: Release of his third feature film Du goudron et des plumes, with Sami Bouajila and Isabelle Carré and Le Linge sale, with Sébastien Gnaedig in the drawing In 2019, he adapts a short story by François Morel: C'est aujourd'hui que je vous aime (Les Arènes).
