Original edition of this monumental cookbook due to the chef of the Delmonico's, who was also the president of the Philanthropic Culinary Society of New York. 3715 lavishly illustrated recipes, accompanied by hundreds of menus, a history of table settings and instructions for American, French and Russian service.
The Delmonico's was one of the most famous restaurants in New York in the 19th century, counting among its patrons the Grand Duke Alexis of Russia as well as Ch. Dickens.
